Renata Hron Gomez serves as theDirector of Community Programs & Services where she develops support systems that provide leaders with the best opportunity for success as they develop their enterprises. Prior to her work at IC, Renata spent over two decades at The Hitachi Foundation in varying programmatic roles, most recently as Vice President for Program, Entrepreneurship @ Work. In this work, she directed the Foundation’s efforts to support early-stage entrepreneurs as they grow and secure capital.

Prior to this work, Renata worked for the International Renaissance Foundation in Kyiv, Ukraine where she built an independent media infrastructure. Renata was a Board Member of San Diego Grantmakers from 2007-2014, serving both as Secretary and Chair. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Television-Radio-Film Management and International Relations from Syracuse University and a Master’s degree in International Communication and International Law from American University. Renata recently relocated from the San Diego area to Sonoma County and enjoys exploring her new community with her husband, 13-year old daughter, and dog.
