If you were at our annual conference, you likely heard the engaging and riveting talk by Anand Giridharadas, author of Winners Take All, who challenged us to think about role in complicity and how we can move our economy to benefit all, not just the few. Recall the main points of the conversation and relive the experience in illustrations by @notesinpictures artist Melanie Ida Chopko !
The day after Anand’s talk, we followed up with a conversation with our ED Valerie Red-Horse Mohl and American Sustainable Business Council (ASBC) CEO & Former CEO of Seventh Generation Jeffrey Hollender to unpack Anand’s ideas, and how to be a part of the solution- or, as we liked to call it, “building a new stadium”. Questions asked include, “How are we being complicit with the problems we are trying to solve?”
Illustrations from that conversation are below:
There’s a lot of work to be done. But let’s keep in mind that we have the power to first, change ourselves, so we can change the world. And through it all, let’s remember never to lose our legacy of love.
